Survivor Program & Retreat

The road to recovery for survivors of trauma and sexual exploitation is a long one. They experience the negative effects of trauma physically, emotionally and spiritually. Even after they have received treatment, survivors are still vulnerable due to a lack of confidence, self-worth, purpose and a strong support system. Without access to a continuum of care after treatment, they are more likely to seek comfort in what is familiar and return to their former toxic lifestyle.

Our NEXT STEPS Transition Program is the first step after treatment to support their journey to a healthy lifestyle.

We minister to the whole person and promote wellness in the areas of:

  • EMOTIONAL HEALTH-
    • Improve ability to focus, think clearly and make healthy decisions
    • Increase sense of peace in response to stressful situations
  • SPIRITUAL HEALTH-
    • Increase confidence and improve sense of self-worth through identity in Christ
    • Increase understanding of Biblical text and grow in relationship with Jesus
  • PHYSICAL HEALTH-
    • Increase knowledge of proper nutrition and affects on the mind and body
    • Improve understanding of health benefits related to rest, silence and solitude

NEXT STEPS Transition Program:

  • Program is launched with the 4-day exclusive Survivor Healing Retreat (details below)
  • Curriculum is faith-based and contains 4 modules specifically designed to support survivors in the next steps of their transition
  • Weekly sessions are 1:1 and for 1 hour in duration
  • Sessions include learning lessons, discipleship, spiritual guidance, accountability check-in for personalized wellness plan and prayer support
  • Sessions meet via zoom or phone call for 3 months

4-Day Retreat Includes:

  • Small group sessions specifically designed to support their next steps in transition
  • 1:1 wellness coaching session (includes nutrition and life planning)
  • Time in worship, prayer and reflection
  • Farm-to-table nutritious meals
